Privacy Policy

Overview

Smart Hitter (“we”, “us”) is a hitting journal that helps baseball and softball players log games, at-bats, and practice sessions, and turn that data into analytics. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information You Provide

• Account info: your name, email address, and password (stored securely) when you register or sign in.
• Performance data: the games, at-bats, pitches, strike-zone markings, notes, and media you choose to log.
• Optional sharing: when you connect with a coach, the journal entries you share with them become visible to that coach.

Payments

Pro subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe handles payment details securely. We receive only your subscription status and billing cycle so we can unlock Pro features.

How We Use Your Data

• To display your own journal, analytics, and summaries back to you.
• To share entries with coaches you have explicitly linked to.
• To operate your subscription and enforce plan limits.
• To provide support and respond to bug reports you submit.

Data Retention

Your logged entries stay in your account for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual entries or your account at any time; deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Your Choices

• You can edit or delete any journal or practice entry you create.
• You can disconnect a coach at any time from your Connections page.
• You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Security

Access to your data is restricted by your account and role. We use row-level security so one player cannot see another player’s entries, and coaches can only view entries from players who have accepted a connection.

Children’s Privacy

Smart Hitter is used by youth and travel-ball players. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information without your consent, contact us and we will remove the account.
